1st Generation (1967–1969)

  • Introduced as a direct competitor to the Ford Mustang.

  • Offered a wide range of engines, including the legendary 302, 350, 396, and 427 V8s.
  • Known for its aggressive styling and performance variants like the Z/28 and SS.

2nd Generation (1970–1981)

  • Larger and more refined than the first generation.
  • Featured a more European-inspired design.
  • Performance declined in the mid-70s due to stricter emissions regulations and fuel economy concerns.
  • Still popular, especially the Z28 model.

3rd Generation (1982–1992)
